Verse of Transferring Merits (Pray)

This verse of Transference is usually recited, at the end of one’s prayer or performance of meritorious works, to universally transfer or share the merits accrued therefore with all sentient beings throughout the Dharma Realm

Verse of Transferring Merits (Pray)

May the merit and virtue accrued from this work
Adorn the Buddhas’ Pure Lands
Repaying four kinds of kindness above
And aiding those suffering in paths below
May those who see and hear of this
All bring forth resolve for Bodhi
And when this retribution body is over
Be born together in Ultimate Bliss

VERSE OF TRANSFERENCE (Chanting Option 1)

May this act of merit and virtue be dedicated to all
May we and all sentient beings together attain Buddha-hoods

VERSE OF TRANSFERENCE (Chanting Option 2)

We wish to rid ourselves of the three hindrances and all worries
We wish to gain wisdom and real understanding
We wish all sinful hindrances to be eradicated
In one life after another, we always follow the Bodhisattvas paths

May the merit and virtue accrued from this work; Adorn the Buddhas’ Pure Lands repay four great kindnesses above and relieve the suffering of those on the three paths below

May those who see and hear this efforts generate Bodhi-mind and spend their lives devoted to the Buddha Dharma. Finally, we will be reborn together in the Land of Ultimate Bliss.
