LITURGY OF MORNING AND NOON MEALS

As a Buddhist, we will wake up before sun rising to perform morning chanting and meditation. We will take our breakfast after the morning session. However we will took our lunch before sun move down to the west (11.00-13.00 hrs). We should not greedy to eat food but the meal is just enough to warn our body. Therefore before taking our meal, we shall perform a liturgy of the foods.

Part 1 Opening:-


We make this offering to Vai-Ro-Ca-Na Buddha
In the pure and un-defiled Dharma Kaya [@]
and to Ro-Ca-Na Buddha
In the perfect Sam-Bho-Ga-Kaya
and to Sa-Kya-Mu-Ni Buddha
In Thousands and Million of Nir-Ma-Na Kaya
and to Bhai-Sa-Jya Buddha of Eastern Paradise
and to Ami-Ta-Bha Buddha of Land of Ultimate Bliss
and to the honored Mai-Tre-Ya Buddha
soon to be born in the world
and to the Buddhas
from the ten directions in the past, present and future
and to Man-Ju-Sri Bodhisattva of Great Wisdom
and to Sa-Manta-Bha-Dra Bodhisattva of Great Conduct
and to Ava-Lo-Ki-Tes-Vara Bodhisattva of Great Compassion
and to Ksi-Ti-Gar-Bha Bodhisattva of Great Vows
and to Nei-Tuo Bodhisattva, the Honored Dharma Protector
and to the Saintly Bodhisattvas of Sangharana
and to the Honored Bodhisattvas and Mahasattvas
Maha Prajna Paramita


Part 2a; For Morning Rice Congee (Breakfast)

Congee offers ten advantages [@]
for the benefit to Buddha's followers
to yields rewards without limit
[!] and enjoy ultimate delight forever [@]


Part 2b; For Other Kinds of Food (Lunch)

With the three virtues and six flavors [@]
We make an offering equally to the Buddhas, the Sanghas
and the Sentient Beings of the Dharma Realm at our meal time
We wish the Sentient Beings to enjoy Dhyana as re-past
[!] and to fill with delight in dharma [@]

Behold, the donors [@]
Will certainly gain the benefits
If one donates in delight
He will later have peace and joy
Having offered food to Buddhas [@]
We will the Sentient Beings to accomplish fully and all that they do
[@] and fulfil the Buddha Dharma
